Hello! My name is Kate Wainwright and I started a new Craft Business last year called ‘The Craft House’

I have always loved making things from being young and enjoy creating new things from old. I was a teacher for over twenty years and in my role I loved creating things with the children in different art forms & materials.

I decided last year to turn my hobby into a business and started my own online craft shop and I also have a craft stall.

I love the freedom and feel-good feeling of crafting in your own time and choosing what you want to make. I also really enjoy recycling and upcycling materials and making something beautiful from something someone else would throw away!

Crafting has opened doors for me to meet new friends, explore skills I didn’t know I ever had, learn how to run a business, appreciate and look at nature in a different way, improve my health & manage my time better.

I love what I am doing now and hope to continue it!
