Wakefield Outwood Brownies

Our presence in the local community continues to get stronger.

Before Christmas, a Brownie leader visited our store in Wakefield requesting art and craft materials for creative activities, having heard that we can support community groups with their creativity.

Amongst our donated products we were able to supply a wide range of items for free so the Brownies could make Christmas cards: a variety of card, coloured papers, pencils, paints, brushes, ink and stamps, embellishments and stickers.

How lovely that through this activity the Brownies gave the cards to residents of a local Care Home.
The Brownies sent us photos of what they made with their freebies and the care home said thank you on social media. It all connects.

This really shows how unwanted creative items which may have gone to landfill have made a real difference to the environment, people's lives and society.

The girls learnt about kindness and giving whilst I’m sure joy would have been brought to the residents at this very special time of the year.
